LEAD ACCOUNTANT - AP / AR
Job Summary: The Lead Accountant - Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivables will oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable and receivable functions. This position requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to lead a team effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the processing of accounts payable invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Manage the accounts receivables process, including invoicing, cash application, and collections.
Reconcile accounts payable and receivable balances, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
Prepare and review financial reports related to accounts payable and receivable activities.
Ensure timely & accurate month/quarter-end, and year-end closing processes for accounts payable and receivable.
Develop & implement policies & procedures to enhance efficiency & control within the AP and AR functions.
Collaborate with procurement, finance, and other departments to support business operations.
Provide leadership and mentorship to accounts payable and receivable team members.
Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing audit findings.
Utilize financial systems and software to automate processes and improve accuracy.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Master's Degree Preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on accounts payable and receivable.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Proven track record of successfully managing accounting processes and leading teams.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems.
Experience in a multinational organization.
Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills.
Familiarity with industry-specific financial metrics and KPIs.
Multilingual abilities are a plus.
