ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR - PMO
Job Summary: The Associate Director of PMO will be responsible for leading the Project Management Office, ensuring the successful execution and alignment of projects with organizational goals. This role demands a visionary leader with extensive experience in project management, strategic planning, and team leadership. The Director of PMO will oversee the development and implementation of PMO frameworks, methodologies, and best practices, driving project excellence across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the PMO team in the development & implementation of project management frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of high-impact projects, ensuring they align with organizational goals and objectives.
Provide strategic direction & oversight for all PMO activities, ensuring compliance with project management standards & governance.
Conduct regular project reviews and audits to ensure adherence to quality and performance standards.
Facilitate resource allocation and prioritization of projects.
Monitor project performance, identify risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
Mentor and develop project managers and team members on PMO processes and tools.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the PMO.
Prepare and present project status reports to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Drive the strategic alignment of projects with business objectives, ensuring optimal resource utilization and project outcomes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
An advanced degree in Project Management or PMP certification is highly needed.
Minimum of 15 years of experience in project management, with at least 10 years in a PMO leadership role.
Proven experience in managing large-scale, complex projects across various industries.
Strong understanding of PMO frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in project management software tools, such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or equivalent.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
Experience in a multinational organization.
Knowledge of Agile and Lean methodologies.
Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
Multilingual abilities are a plus.
